It updates Metal Change Base's tip-switching gimmick, which changes mode based on the angle it's launched at, with a slightly sharper tip that produces gentler mode transitions. It weighs 2 grams more than its predecessor and can pair with Support Parts, most notably the compact Defense Ring, though its added height makes the earlier base preferable for the tightest Compact builds. A rarer mold with a fully sharp tip trades away Attack ability for stronger Defense through better RPM retention.
