Description

Amaterios Mugen is an Attack Type Beyblade that never had a physical release, appearing only in the manga and a related video game. It pairs the Amaterios layer with a disc-integrated Mugen driver, giving the single-layer design a combined disc-and-tip unit rather than separate disc and driver parts.

Community testing, Feb. 20, 2016 — summarised

The competitive view

Amaterios (stylized αmaterios) is a five-pointed star-shaped Attack Energy Layer with a red orb at each point, styled after the Shinto sun goddess Amaterasu. Despite being the heaviest layer of its time, its round protrusions restrict it to Attack use, where it ranks as a strong alternative just below Valkyrie and Xcalibur.

The orb points create blunt, powerful attack contact, but the shape gives it no use in Stamina or Defense. It performs well in Attack, just below Valkyrie and Xcalibur, and its shape is described as a near mirror of Wyvern, letting it beat Wyvern-based combos specifically. Cited combos: Amaterios Heavy Xtreme for maximum attack; Amaterios Heavy Assault for more stamina or to counter Tornado Stallers and other Attack types.

Verdict as the draft gives it: An excellent Attack alternative, ranked just under Valkyrie and Xcalibur.

  • Weight: 9.0 grams
  • Five-pointed star shape, red orb at each point, right-spin
  • Underside plastic appears two-toned but is actually a single piece finished with gold paint on visible exterior areas
  • Three tall inner-ring teeth, giving strong grip against Bursting
