Attack (action)

Landing a hit is the default way any Beyblade deals damage, carried out whenever an Attack Ring, Fusion Wheel, Energy Ring, Warrior Wheel, Element Wheel or Energy Layer connects during a collision, and occasionally by a Blade Base, Support Part, Customize Weight Disk, Forge Disc or Frame under the right conditions. The community sorts these hits into named styles: a horizontal Spike Attack delivered by hammer-shaped heads, an Upper Attack that scoops a rival from underneath, a Smash Attack that drives down from above and can even put an opponent to sleep, a rapid-fire Barrage Attack that wears an opponent down gradually, and an All-purpose Attack that blends two or more of these approaches into one part.

What to know

  • Spike Attack hammer heads come in flat, bushed, clawed and rounded forms
  • Smash Attack was originally called Down Attack
  • Barrage Attack is the lowest-recoil style for its own user among the named types

Where it comes up
