Biography

This manga-continuity version of Kenta Yumiya is a shier, more passive counterpart to his anime self, defined chiefly as Gingka Hagane's devoted best friend and constant supporter. He is nearly beaten by the Face Hunters until Gingka intervenes, gets his first Beyblade Sagittario destroyed by rival Busujima ahead of Battle Bladers, and inherits Flame Sagittario only after Gingka's father Phoenix quietly rebuilds the wreckage for him. He later disguises himself as the mysterious 'Masked Blader X' to challenge Zyro Kurogane in Shogun Steel, an homage to Phoenix's own masked persona.

Appearance and personality

What They Look Like, and How They Behave

A child's face with large dimples, round ears and a small nose gives this Kenta a youthful look, and his short hair spikes slightly at both front and back. He wears a T-shirt marked by a single stripe, paired with cargo shorts, and finishes the outfit with long socks tucked into low-top sneakers.

Fun-loving and determined, this Kenta carries a fierce passion for Beyblade alongside an otherwise easygoing manner. Shyness keeps him from approaching people at first, and he steers clear of conversation, but time spent with Gingka draws him out of his shell. Through his friendship and mentorship with Gingka he grows into a confident Blader who no longer doubts himself after a loss.
