Biography
Karura is a mummy-wrapped DNA guardian stationed at the Doji Stronghold in Beyblade: Shogun Steel, sporting Kai Hiwatari-style face paint and a bandaged, ninja-like look. He confronts Zyro Kurogane's group to block their path to DNA's tower, using Guardian Garudas to fake weather control and terrorize opponents before Kite Unabara sees through the trick and defeats him. Once DNA collapses for good, Karura reforms alongside the other DNA bladers, joining Bridge to the Future for the tournament deciding who represents Japan.
Appearance and personality
What They Look Like, and How They Behave
Gold eyes and dark skin mark Karura out, along with light baby-blue hair spiked into a mohawk over an otherwise shaved head. He paints his face blue in the same style as Kai Hiwatari, and wraps white bandages across his body and half his face for a ninja-like look. His arms carry baby-blue forearm bands with gold straps, and he layers a navy blue buckled sleeveless jacket under a shaggy white scarf. Below the waist he wears baggy white trousers down to his shins, cinched with a peach-coloured belt and gold buckle, finished with navy blue socks.
Cruelty and a taste for sadism define Karura as a Blader; he strings opponents along by pretending Garuda controls the weather, when the claim is invented. Once DNA is defeated for good, he turns into a better Blader.
