Biography

Captain Arrow is a self-styled 'Blader of Justice' working for the antagonist organization DNA in Beyblade: Shogun Steel, despite the contradiction that implies. A Best Eight qualifier for Neo Battle Bladers, he loses his quarter-final to Sakyo Kurayami after Sakyo's Ronin Dragoon knocks out his Archer Wyvern in a single hit, undercutting the confidence of his two Special Moves. He later loses again training against Kira Hayama, and is eventually knocked unconscious alongside fellow DNA members Genjuro and Spike when they try to stop Kira from abandoning the organization.

Appearance and personality

What They Look Like, and How They Behave

Captain Arrow bares sharp teeth reminiscent of Genjuro's, under a mass of long, spiky blue hair that covers the top of his head. A grey mask, cut with even holes for his yellow eyes, hides his eyes and nose behind a menacing, masquerade-like front, above a light complexion and a permanent smirk. He wears a brown dog-chain around his neck and a black, gangster-styled cloth that forms part of a red "shirt" baring his midriff and abs, held up by a gold chain running to his trousers. White buttons dot the red-and-black top, and he finishes the look with brown fingerless gloves, tight black jeans and oversized light-grey boots.

Captain Arrow styles himself a "Blader of Justice," an odd claim given he works for DNA. His menacing look masks a lighter, more confident personality — he faces opponents with real self-assurance. He also insists he ranks among DNA's best, a boast that sits oddly against how easily Sakyo Kurayami beat him, suggesting a blader whose pride outruns his ability.

He talks like a hero and owns two special moves, yet Sakyo knocked him out in one hit and he never beats a named blader.

Claims We Could Not Check

  • The third Shogun Steel character whose Bey pays homage to Bakuten Shoot Beyblade, referencing Tyson Granger's Dragoon.
  • Claims to be DNA's "best" despite never winning an on-screen battle.
  • Shares the "Captain" naming convention with Tobio Oike, though in the Japanese version he's the only "Captain."
