About This Part

Right SG (Bearing Version 2) is a Spin Gear released as part of the Spin Gear System, debuting with Wolborg 2 at a weight of 5.5 grams. It succeeds Wolborg's original Bearing Version shaft, again supporting the shaft on bearings to preserve Survival, but trades that predecessor's plastic tip for a rubber one, which changes its behaviour considerably. Because the Beyblade spins around a shaft that stays largely still while the rubber tip anchors it to the stadium floor, the part delivers both strong Survival and unusually good Defense at once, though its height leaves it exposed to Upper Attack, and the tip itself softens with wear, trading Survival for extra grip and aggression over time.

In Play

The community treats this shaft as central to Grip-based Defense builds, most famously the Defensive Zombie combination pairing Twin Horn, Dragon Saucer SAR, Wide Defense, Neo Left SG in Burning Kerberous' Double Bearing casings, Defense Ring and Customize Grip Base, which is rated among the strongest defensive setups of the plastic generation. Its casings are also valued for holding the tip of Uriel 2, letting that rare and fragile part power aggressive Smash Attack builds such as Triple Tiger with Wide Survivor and Defense Grip Base 2, and for Attack use the shaft can be fixed in place inside Dranzer S' Free Shaft Version casings to drive reaching Upper Attack combinations built around Upper Claw and Ten Heavy.

  • Debuted with the release of Wolborg 2.
  • The softer, lighter-coloured tip shipped with Takara's Wolborg 2 Boosters, while a darker, harder tip came with the Ito Yokado Dark Blue Recolor.
  • Its casings are the only ones that can hold the tip of Uriel 2, the fastest rubber tip of the plastic generation, letting that part be used without its own fragile base.
