About This Part
Bearing Core is a Running Core for the Hard Metal System built around a thick, sharp plastic tip mounted on a metal shaft that runs through an NSK ball bearing separating the shaft from the Core's outer casing, echoing earlier Survival-focused parts. It shipped with Wolborg MS at 5 grams and was among the most anticipated releases of its era, arriving as the strongest Survival part then on the market.
In Play
Wolborg MS performs well as a Survival build straight out of the box and improves further with parts like Advance Survivor or Circle Upper; its outspinning power grew controversial enough in Tornado Balance stadiums that fans discussed banning it outright, and Takara answered by releasing the smaller Tornado Balance Type S stadium, where Bearing Core Beyblades lose their edge and can be knocked out easily, though in larger stadiums they remain hard to beat outside of a matched Halting-plus-Force-Smash pairing or a fast Attack build.
- Released with Wolborg MS as part of the Hard Metal System.
- Bearing Core's spinning-shaft mechanism parallels two later parts: Bearing Drive in the Metal Fight line and Bearing in the Burst line, both built around the same ball-bearing principle.
