About This Part
Metal Stone Face is an accessory from the Beyblade: Shogun Steel toyline and a metal-bodied version of the Stone Face, the screw-like piece that keeps a Beyblade fastened together. It is octagonal rather than the hexagonal shape earlier Metal System, Hybrid Wheel System and 4D System bolts used, and its bolt runs longer to suit the newer wheel types it pairs with. A Custom version, the Metal Stone Face Custom, splits into a swappable Core and Plate so weight can be tuned, with each piece available in metal or clear plastic. It traditionally shipped in red, black and silver, alongside occasional special colours.
In Play
The extra weight favours Defense-Types most, helps Attack-Types shed some of their recoil, and works against Stamina by slowing the Bey's spin; a heavy Metal Stone Face can even cost a Synchrome Defense build stamina in matches against non-Synchrome opponents, and the Middle and Light combinations, though equal in weight, distribute it differently enough to suit different build types.
- Hasbro never released a version of the Metal Stone Face, switching instead to cross-shaped Shogun Face Bolts.
- Hasbro skipped the Metal Stone Face entirely, switching to cross-shaped Shogun Face Bolts, and pulled the part from its own releases of Beys such as Ninja Salamander SW145SD.
