About This Part
Mercury debuted in Japan on April 1st, 2010 as a Takara Tomy Fusion Wheel packaged with Mercury Anubius 85XF, reaching western shoppers in 2012 through the B-166 Booster Pack Mercury Anubis 85XF. Its shape borrows from Vulcan, pairing two rounded sides with a mid-sized spike, and despite looking primed for Smash Attack it carries almost none. Its shell is also unusually light, weighing a gram less than the similarly weak Poison, though it still edges out the Torch wheel.
In Play
Its combination of low mass and a shape that never converts into real hitting power leaves it with essentially no use in Attack, Defense or Stamina; Variares, Blitz and Beat are far stronger Attack choices.
