About This Part

The Metal Weight Core is a non-magnetic Core built for the Magnacore System that is made up of plain weight blocks. It sits heavier than a Spin Gear but lighter than either Magnecore, and functionally behaves much like a Standard Spin Gear. Takara kept using it across many releases, while Hasbro largely swapped it out for the Magnecores.

Collector's Note

Abbreviated MWC; a Neo-shell-only core with a cylindrical metal insert at its center for added weight. It's slightly lighter than the Magnecores, which limits how much it stands out since the weight gap to other cores is usually too small to be decisive for Attack types. It still performs well for Attack in general, just usually a hair behind other core options rather than being a genuinely bad choice. Used on many Magnecore-family Beyblades and their random-booster recolors, including Dragoon V, Flash Leopard, Gabriel, Crab Diver, Orca Diver, Manta Diver, Killer Eagle, Death Gargoyle, Rushing Boar, Galeon 2, Trygle 2, Trygator, Cyber Dragoon Battle Spec., Apollon, Venus, Poseidon, Driger V2, Dranzer V2, Draciel V2, Uriel 2, Dark Dragoon, Dark Driger, Dark Dranzer, Dark Draciel, Dark Gaia Dragoon, Orthrus, Draciel V (Hasbro BBA Championship Version), and Vortex Ape (Hasbro BBA Championship Version).
