About This Part
SamuraiSaber is an Attack Type Blade Takara Tomy released for the Unique Line, debuting in Japan on November 2nd, 2024 through the UX-09 Starter before Hasbro sold it in the west as Saber Samurai. Its overall outline is round, and its Gear Chip shows a samurai wearing a kabuto helmet. As a Unique Line piece it uses resin Launcher Hooks rather than metal ones for extra outward weight, and it carries a transforming gimmick: its usual four-sided shape, meant for repeated katana-style hits, can retract two protrusions into a two-sided shape built for a single tachi-style strike intended to end a match in one hit. The anime and manga call this transformation the Shooting Star technique.
