About This Part
Even weight distribution, a thin profile and smooth edges make this ring a longtime favourite, particularly in the classic 10bBistool combo and various compact and balance-type builds, even after sharper rings like Galeon's War Lion or Driger S's Tiger Defenser pushed it out of the top spot. Early Zombie builds valued it for the same balanced, thin design, using its projecting spikes to absorb spin just past a Wide Survivor Weight Disk's reach. A mold change mattered more than most: Takara's original spikes on Bistool, Gekiryu-Oh and Frostic Dranzer sat thin and separate, while Hasbro's later molds connect the spike tips to the ring's centre to resist breaking, and that reinforced version became the far more popular pick — Noland's Metal Ball Defenser combo at the BBA World Championships used exactly this mold.
