About This Part
Whale Attacker is an Attack Ring for the Spin Gear System that debuted with Seaborg. Two large whale shapes with descending slopes and side spikes taper to a single point, styled after a whale breaching the water, with screw-head details giving it a mechanical look. In right spin its broad, flat whale-head shapes are the main contact point, hitting hard with Smash Attack but suffering heavy recoil and breakage — especially near the thin screw-head sections — unless paired with a recoil-taming tip such as SG Grip Change Base or Seaborg's own Defense Grip Base in Attack Mode; it also has a habit of damaging opposing Beyblades, similar to Cross Griffon.
In Play
In left spin its long but shallow-angled slopes underperform compared to dedicated Upper Attack rings, and its side spikes wear down and curve inward too much to land solid hits, leaving it well behind rings such as G Upper and Panther Head that blend Upper and Smash Attack more effectively in that direction; competitive players who use it in right spin treat it as a high-risk knockout tool that isn't reliable enough for serious tournament play.
