About This Part
Upper Wolf is an Attack Ring for the Spin Gear System that debuted with Wolborg 2, weighing 4.9 grams in its first mould and 5.2 grams in a second, reinforced mould. Three wolf-head shapes carry sloped projections spaced much like those on Triple Wing, but despite the "Upper" in its name, those slopes are too short to lift an opponent in right spin. Its outward-angled contact points also blunt its Smash Attack compared to Triple Wing's similar shape, and in left spin its small, flat-edged triangular protrusions barely register.
In Play
Competitive players rank it below even second-tier Smash Attack rings such as Triple Attacker and Dark Wing, since its outward-angled contact points sacrifice hitting power for extra recoil; Hasbro's reinforced mould adds a little weight but changes nothing about how it performs.
