About This Part
G-Upper is a 7-gram Attack Ring from the Engine Gear System that debuted on Dragoon GT, one of the widest Attack Rings ever released, combining shallow Upper Attack slopes with four well-placed left-spin Smash Attack contact points; both Takara Tomy and Hasbro released it only on Dragoon Galaxy Turbo.
In Play
The community treats it as an underrated, well-rounded ring — its width and rounded wings can destabilise and out-spin opponents even off Storm Grip Base, arguably making it more reliable than the more popular Eight Spiker for left-spin Smash Attack; a Storm Grip plus Wide Defense build lets it knock opponents off balance in a manner resembling Upper Attack, considered one of the most reliable Storm Grip combinations around, though Dragoon GT itself is priced high enough that many buy it mainly for display.
