Description

Takara first put this Endurance-rated top out in Japan inside the A-130 Twin Battle Bey Double Shooter Set for 4179¥, part of the Heavy Metal System line. Hasbro later brought the same build west as a standalone starter pack, fitting it with a newly designed Wyvern Emblem bit protector. The set pairs a DJ Spiker attack ring, a Circle Balance weight disk and a Metal Sharp Core running core, with a CWD Free Saucer disk bundled into the RBA1 Secret Green Version. Beyond the black starter colourway, it also turned up in tournament-limited, staff-only gold-plated and several plain recoloured runs.

In play and in the story

The community rates none of its parts as outright weak, but by the time faster, more modern combinations arrived none of them stood out either, leaving this top with little reason to be sought out today.

  • Released by Takara in Japan as part of the A-130 Twin Battle Bey Double Shooter Set for 4179¥.
  • Reissued by Hasbro as a standalone starter pack with a redesigned Wyvern Emblem bit protector.
  • Also produced in tournament-limited, staff-only and multiple plain recoloured versions.

The competitive view

Wyvern DJ is a Hard Metal System (HMS) Beyblade article the author calls complete except for one gap: a description of the CWD Free Saucer part, which they did not personally own and asked the community to help fill in.

Not detailed in the captured excerpt beyond the request for a CWD Free Saucer write-up.

  • Other versions referenced but unresolved: RBA1 green version, an unidentified blue version, and a plain black version

Condensed from community testing; competitive opinions are the community's, not ours, and may be out of date.
