Description

The blade of the masked stranger who interrupts Tyson and Daichi in the first episode of G-Revolution, later revealed to be Tyson's older brother Hiro. Metal Driger is a steel-plated cousin of Ray's tiger, heavier and colder, and Hiro uses it as a teaching tool: he fights Ray to test him and beats Tyson to show him what arrogance has cost him. Hiro coaches the Bladebreakers, then BEGA, and the blade is the symbol of his hard, distant style of mentorship.

Metal Driger is a Balance Type variation of Driger built for the Engine Gear System and piloted by Jin of The Gale. Its Bit Chip was one of four "Metal series" bits, alongside Metal Dragoon, Metal Draciel and Metal Dranzer, first used in the Beyblade Fighting Tournament and reachable only when a player set that game to unlock the Driger bits. It carries the Cross Spiker Attack Ring at 6 grams, the Ten Heavy Weight Disk at 17 grams, the Heavy Metal Core Spin Gear at 9 grams and an Instant Release Base built specifically for this combination.

Parts in detail

Takara/SonoKong release built around Cross Spiker, Ten Heavy, Heavy Metal Gear and Heavy Metal Core, and First Clutch Base (Metal Driger Version); Hasbro's parallel releases replace the Heavy Metal Gear/Core with cheaper Engine Gear parts (see Metal Driger (Hasbro) and Metal Driger (Hasbro Metallic Dark Green Ver.)).

SlotPartWeightSpinNote
Attack Ring Cross Spiker 4.7 g Left (competitive) / Right (not quite) Decent but not quite competitive smash in right spin due to slightly awkward contact points and interfering protrusions; a genuinely competitive smash attack ring in left spin, ideally paired with Ten Wide for extra contact exposure.
Weight Disk Ten Heavy 16.1 g The heaviest legal weight disk and a must-have for sustaining RPM across compacts, traditional upper attack, weight defense and circle survivor defense; outclasses both Heavy and Eight Heavy.
Spin Gear Heavy Metal Gear Shells + Heavy Metal Core 3.8 (shells) + 6.2 (core) g The heaviest Neo core in the format, never officially released by Hasbro, and essential for compacts, weight-based defense, force smash and traditional upper attack; also a strong recoil-control choice on fast enough blade bases with powerful rings.
Blade Base First Clutch Base (Metal Driger Version) 6.9 g Activates its engine-gear clutch at the start of battle, making it less prone to self-knockouts than a Final Clutch base, though it's outclassed for lift by the lighter Normal Base (Wolborg 4/Rock Bison Version).

Weights are single copies weighed on their own; a part can vary by a few tenths of a gram.
