BBA World Championships

Also called the World Championship 2004, this real-world event was held August 17, 2004 in Times Square, New York City. National representatives narrowed through one-on-one matches to a final duel where the USA's Noland Carcamo beat Japan's Kenta Hori to become the No. 1 Blader in the World.

  • Only Takara Beyblades were eligible; RC Beyblades and HMS Blades were banned
  • Custom stadium had two rectangular launch pathways feeding a wide central arena with a spin-sapping blue circle in the middle
  • Matches were one-on-one, narrowing to a final duel between the two remaining representatives
  • A rumored 2005 Canadian qualifier tournament never actually happened
