Indosiar Visual Mandiri began test broadcasts in 1994 and formally launched as an Indonesian free-to-air channel on January 11, 1995, later coming under Surya Citra Media through its absorption of Indosiar Karya Media. It picked up Beyblade G-Revolution in mid-2006, months after rival channel RCTI finished airing Beyblade 2002, and moved on to the Metal Fight Beyblade generation, through Metal Fight Beyblade 4D, roughly three years after G-Revolution wrapped. Across its first 25 years on air, the channel carried more anime than any other in Indonesia alongside a heavy slate of Japanese and Korean dramas.
