Weak Shooting

Rather than a full-strength pull, this launch technique eases the ripcord or launcher just enough to send a Beyblade out at a lower spin rate while still aimed dead centre, leaving it wobbly enough that Attack types often struggle to knock it clean out. It suits wide-tipped Beyblades such as those running WD, since their precession lets them keep spinning steadily even at that reduced rate, and it targets opposite-spin Attack combos in particular, where the slower top still gets carried along by the faster one's momentum, the same idea behind Spin Stealing, just equalizing rather than stealing spin.

What to know

  • Best suited to Beyblades with wide tips (e.g., WD) for their precession at low spin rates
  • Aimed chiefly at Attack combos spinning opposite to the user's own Beyblade
  • Related to, but distinct from, Spin Stealing: this technique equalizes spin rate rather than stealing it

Where it comes up

  • Opposite-spin Attack matchups
