Biography

Yuki Mizusawa is the intellectual deuteragonist of Metal Fury, a Legendary Blader who represents the planet Mercury among Ryo's Solar System Bladers. Raised on his grandfather's story of the Star Fragment, he activates as a Legendary Blader when a fragment strikes his observatory, then joins Gingka Hagane's search for the rest of the Legendary Bladers to stop Nemesis's revival. Bookish, formal, and easily frightened at first, he grows steadier through training and tag-team tournaments, eventually helping fight Diablo Nemesis directly with his stamina-based Mercury Anubis before the final battle against Rago and Pluto.

What They Look Like, and How They Behave

Yuki's brown hair spikes upward in a curved sweep, with shorter strands reaching down onto his cheeks, and he wears glasses over blue eyes. His blazer is sky blue, trimmed in dark blue and white, worn with a white shirt and a red tie marked with a star at its centre. Below that he wears dark grey shorts on a belt, white socks, and black shoes with grey highlights.

Yuki is warm and self-effacing, and in the English dub he keeps things formal even with close friends, addressing everyone as 'Mr.' or 'Miss.' He turns out to be genuinely clever, serving as the group's voice of reason before Dynamis joins them, though he frightens easily and tends toward anxiety. Over the course of the season he toughens up considerably. He is also revealed to have a fear of snakes and a store of knowledge about the Maya.
