Rachel Cruise

Biography

Rachel Cruise is a guide-type main character in Beywarriors: Beyraiderz, the older sister of Jimmy Cruise. Descended from the ancient figure Tempest, she carries deep knowledge of Beyraiderz history that most of the world has forgotten, and hopes reviving the sport will restore life to her home city. Gentle, polite and rarely angered, she supports the group logistically rather than in battle — she is the only main female character without her own Beyraiderz or BeyWheel. She eventually admits she hid her ancestry from the team out of guilt over Tempest's past crimes.

Tall and brown-eyed, Rachel has long dark blue hair that reaches past her waist and is gathered into two differently styled ponytails at the ends. Her clothing leans old-fashioned and traditional, mostly in shades of blue and white, and she wears a veil on her head almost constantly — the one exception being when she later dons a pale blue winter coat with matching gloves. Her white socks carry a wheel-like blue symbol that may tie back to her family, and possibly to her ancestor Tempest.

Rachel comes across as gentle and polite, usually with a smile, and she is warm and kind toward her friends. Like her friend Ricky, she hates the idea of being a burden or needing constant rescuing, and she is rarely if ever seen angry, staying calm almost without exception — the one clear break from that being how unsettled she and her brother Jimmy become around Kaiser Gray, both of them visibly frightened when Flame appears. She pitches in however she can, whether guiding the group along their journey or handling small tasks like tending the campfire. As one of Tempest's descendants, she is quietly working to make up for the harm he caused in the past, and she is honest enough to apologise to Sho and the others for not telling them the truth from the start. She holds real faith in her friends' abilities, never doubting them.
