Pheng Hope is the second-revealed member of the Risen 3, a mischievous prankster who can read opponents' chi energy and had grown bored of blading after winning too easily. His draw against Dante Koryu reignites his passion when he witnesses Dante's Hyper-Flux, inspiring him to chase a breakthrough of his own. Despite entering the Battle Island Tournament with renewed drive, he is eliminated in the third round by fellow Risen 3 newcomer Delta Zakuro.

Appearance and personality

What They Look Like, and How They Behave

Small in stature and fair-skinned, Pheng Hope has lime-green eyes and mint-green hair that sweeps up like a pair of wings. Two diamond marks sit on the bridge of his nose and three small dots run across each cheek, all in blue. He wears a turquoise and grey robe edged in dark blue along each sleeve, a pair of blue, yellow-striped scarves with fuzzy ends draped over his shoulders and held by a white belt with dark-yellow panels and a white circular buckle, plus two red-and-green neckbands. Below that are teal shorts bordered in dark blue and blue shoes with a white stripe across the vamp, white heels and an orange stud on each tongue.

Pheng has a mischievous streak and a fondness for pranks, from setting traps for Dante and Arman to catching Delta out with a fake-hand trick, and he can be stubborn too, turning down Dante's challenges at first. There was a time he loved battling outright, but being so strong made winning lose its thrill, and it's only through facing Dante and seeing him unleash Hyper-Flux that his enthusiasm returns. For all the mischief, he is easygoing and friendly underneath, even if his invitation to a feast at Harmony's Castle for Dante and the others starts out sounding more like a demand. He also has the unusual ability to perceive an opponent's ki, or chi, energy.
