Phelix Payne

Biography

Phelix Payne once dominated Europe's Junior League until Rashad Goodman beat him and dismissively called his style 'boring,' a comment that haunted him for years. Resurfacing with a new Quad Beyblade, Prominence Phoenix, and the alias 'the Phoenix,' he defeats Bashara, Ilya, Bel, and even Valt Aoi on his path to a rematch with Rashad. Calm and composed outside battle but intense when provoked, he ultimately faces and loses to Rashad, finally closing the loop on his old grudge.

Phelix has blue eyes and pink hair streaked with cyan, worn with a fringe covering his right eye; the top is kept short while the sides grow out near waist-length and fall over his left shoulder. His bodysuit is orange and black with matching stripes, set off by pink, flame-shaped wings on his chest built around a V-shaped crest, which flare up whenever he launches. His left arm carries red ringed armour with two ring-shaped braces at the wrist, and he wears black gloves marked with a cyan-and-red square on the back of each hand. A red ringed tube serves as his belt, with two broken-looking tubes of the same style sitting at the back, and he finishes the look with a long yellow kilt trimmed in black, carrying two black stripes on its left side.

For the most part Phelix stays calm and collected, his composure slipping only for opponents who really get under his skin, Rashad chief among them, or anyone he rates as genuinely strong. In battle he sometimes makes sounds meant to suggest his bey has possessed him, a piece of theatre aimed purely at rattling whoever he's facing. Away from battle he is distant and largely unbothered, seldom losing his patience over anything.
