Biography

Kumasuke Kumade is the eldest and strongest of the three Kumade brothers, debuting as a Dark Nebula muscle blader in Beyblade: Metal Fusion. He first competes in a mass challenge match to earn Bey points, drawing Doji's attention, but Tsubasa Otori's Earth Eagle beats his Rock Orso solo and then again with the full trio ganging up. After reaching 50,000 points, he's dominated by Kyoya Tategami in the Battle Bladers tournament, then crushed alongside his brothers by Ryuga's Lightning L-Drago, their spirits absorbed until Gingka's Storm Pegasus frees them. He later fails Japan's Metal Masters selection and cameos giving Gingka strength against Nemesis in Metal Fury.

Appearance and personality

What They Look Like, and How They Behave

Kumasuke has a large, stocky build, with bushy eyebrows framing yellow eyes and a round nose. A pale brown fleece coonskin cap sits over short brown hair grown out into sideburns. His jacket, a short gamboge piece left open from hem to chest, shows torn sleeves, a pocket on the right and the Dark Nebula emblem on the left, worn over a black short-sleeved shirt with belt loops. A brown belt closes with a silver buckle set inside a smaller circle, and extra leather panels on either side carry three silver circles of increasing size plus a rectangle, from which his launcher and Bey holster hang. Olive-grey trousers run down into fur-cuffed, earth-brown boots, and he wears a brown leather cuff on each wrist. He resembles his brothers closely but stands taller than either of them.

Kumasuke carries the same rough, lumberjack-like bearing as his brothers, and stubbornness runs just as strong in him. Matches lost between the three of them tend to boil over into real anger. He is also the one his younger brothers look to and follow.

Strongest of the Orso brothers and sturdy enough to reach Battle Bladers, where Kyoya brushes him aside; all muscle, no plan.
