Biography

Klaus, called Georg in the original Japanese version, is the muscle of Team Excalibur in Beyblade: Metal Masters, representing Germany with the hardest-launching Beyblade in the world, Grand Capricorn 145D, earning him the nickname 'Axe of Destruction.' Proud and team-devoted, he crushes Chi-yun Li easily and grinds out a grueling win over Masamune Kadoya that leaves him unconscious, but he's ultimately overwhelmed by Jack's strange technique in the semifinal against Team Star Breaker. Despite his brute strength, he remains only Excalibur's sub member. He returns for a temple scene and final Nemesis showdown in Metal Fury, and makes a brief cameo watching Zyro Kurogane's team in Shogun Steel.

Appearance and personality

What They Look Like, and How They Behave

Klaus cuts a broad, heavily muscled figure, with buzzed brown hair carrying light brown highlights at the sides and plain brown eyes. A bright gold pendant hangs at his neck. He dresses in a dark green shirt beneath a black jacket patterned with brown and orange, cinched with a belt built from several gold buckles, and pairs it with brown trousers. Orange braces wrap his ankles over dark dress shoes.

Physical strength defines Klaus's reputation, but pride in that strength sits alongside real devotion to his teammates, whom he puts above everything else. His loyalty runs deep enough that losing hits him hard, and he throws himself fully into every fight for the team's sake. That intensity does not stop him being gracious: he once told Masamune that no opponent had ever made him work as hard as that battle demanded.

The hardest launch in the world flattens Chiyun, and sheer stubbornness drags him past Masamune until he collapses, but Jack's strange technique leaves brute force with no answer.

Claims We Could Not Check

  • He misses the Festival of Warriors, so he never actually watches his GanGan Galaxy friends' matches there.
  • Despite his large build, he's shown to be surprisingly agile, once flipping over a crowd of reporters.
  • He has the world's strongest launch power yet is still only Team Excalibur's sub member.
  • The highlights in his hair are meant to resemble his Beyblade Capricorn's horns.
  • He is the second character (after Tobio Oike) to own a Capricorn-motif Beyblade.
