Biography

Arman Kusaba, known as Amane Kusaba in Japan, is the self-confident, analytical tritagonist of Beyblade Burst Rise and older brother of Taka Kusaba, fighting with Bushin Ashindra Hurricane Keep Ten and his avatar Ashindra. He remains loyal to the Victories team even as most members defect to rival Fumiya Kindo's Spark Wings, and grows into a fierce long-standing rivalry with Fumiya. After struggling with jealousy over teammate Dante Koryu's progress, Arman bonds deeply with Ashindra and achieves his own Hyper-Flux, eventually challenging and losing to World Champion Aiger Akabane despite his growth.

Appearance and personality

What They Look Like, and How They Behave

Tall, with dark brown hair, green eyes and distinctively curly eyebrows, Arman also has a pair of green markings beneath each eye. Under a yellow martial arts robe carrying a white symbol outlined in magenta, he wears a black undershirt, and he finishes the look with green trousers and green shoes trimmed in white and magenta. During Beybattles he ties a green headband bearing a matching white symbol across his forehead; the rest of the time it stays wrapped around his left arm instead.

Confidence and intelligence define Arman as a blader, backed up by a strong work ethic. He bristles when anyone, Fumiya included, speaks poorly of his teammates, and in battle a mischievous streak comes out as he enjoys pushing opponents toward begging for mercy. Away from competition he is quieter and somewhat reserved, though his protectiveness surfaces around his younger brother Taka, whom he lightly scolded after Taka got tangled up with a blader trying to steal Ashindra. His loyalty runs deepest toward his team: when most of the Victories defected to join Fumiya's side, Arman was the one who chose to stay.
