Biography

The American DJ is a recurring supporting character serving as an American counterpart to the recurring Blader DJ, officiating WBBA matches during Beyblade: Metal Masters and briefly Metal Fury. Dressed head-to-toe in a stars-and-stripes tuxedo, he shares a vicious rivalry-turned-friendship with Blader DJ, the two of them battling each other's minimal Beyblading skills to an eventual draw before commentating the Big Bang Bladers tournament together. He wields a rare, discontinued Rock Aries ED145D Beyblade and uses the enigmatic special move American DJ Crossfader.

Appearance

What They Look Like

A star-patterned wardrobe in red, white, blue and yellow gives the American DJ his signature look, worn consistently across appearances. Blond hair sits under a hat decorated with stars and the colours of the American flag, and a matching tuxedo with a red bow tie, dress trousers and shoes rounds out the outfit, every piece following the same star motif.

A commentator first and a blader a distant second; his one match is a clumsy draw with Blader DJ that neither man had the skill to finish.

  • American DJ Crossfader is one of only two special moves in the franchise whose mechanism is never explained, the other being Blader DJ Scratch.
