About This Part

The Heavy line spans three Weight Disks that appeared across the original series as newer tops arrived: Six Heavy first, then Eight Heavy, then Ten Heavy, with the leading number naming how many sides each disk carries — Eight Heavy, for example, forms an octagon. Hasbro's own naming calls the six-sided version simply Heavy, though bladers commonly add Six to tell the trio apart. True to the name, this line holds the heaviest weight disks in the whole range; Ten Heavy, the heaviest of the three, is generally favoured over Six and Eight Heavy when customizing.

In Play

Concentrating weight near the centre rather than spreading it around the rim, as a Wide Weight Disk does, raises spin speed, which is why Compact-type attack combinations reach for the Heavy line; the same mass also suits Defense-oriented builds, where added weight is the priority, and Ten Heavy is the community's usual pick among the three for its greater heft.

  • Six Heavy weighs 16 grams, Eight Heavy weighs 15 grams, and Ten Heavy weighs 17 grams.
