About This Part

M-85 is a Basic Line Ratchet built around the same five-protrusion layout as the 5-series but adds a metal ring riveted to its underside, the feature its name references. That ring made M-85 the heaviest Ratchet on record at the time of its release, averaging 10.6 grams, and its protrusions sit at an 8.5 millimetre height. It also counts as what Takara Tomy calls a Simple Type Ratchet, or an RBT-Ratchet to Hasbro, using an O-type joint that snaps onto the Blade instead of the rotating joint on standard Ratchets. Takara Tomy launched it in Japan on June 28th, 2025 with the BX-44 Booster TriceraPress M-85BS, and Hasbro's X-treme Battlers Pack introduced it in the west.
