About This Part

Special Parts is the umbrella term for Beyblade components that fall outside the four basic building blocks of an Attack Ring, Weight Disk, Spin Gear, and Blade Base. Under that heading sit the Sub Ring, a secondary freely-spinning ring bundled with certain Attack Rings and one Blade Base; Support Parts, a family of interchangeable Blade Base attachments introduced with the V2 Series; the Bearing and Shaft assembly used by several free-spinning Spin Gears; Metal Balls fitted inside most Draciel bases; the Heavy Metal Core found in the Takara release of Metal Driger; and a handful of oddly-shaped Special Weight Disks sold with particular Beyblades or Random Boosters.

In Play

Several of these parts carry real competitive weight: the Heavy Metal Core adds enough mass to suit compact or defence-leaning combinations, and community tournament rules exclude at least one variant, the Gyro Weight Disk, from sanctioned play.

  • Support Parts were introduced with the V2 Series line of Beyblades.
  • The Heavy Metal Core debuted in the Takara release of Metal Driger.
  • Gaia Dragoon V is the only V2 Series Beyblade sold without a Support Part.
  • The Gyro Weight Disk is barred from sanctioned WBO play.
