About This Part

Metal Semi-Flat Core is a Gyrostat used on the Advance Averazer build, an improvement on the plastic Semi-Flat tip fitted to Driger MS. Its metal contact point measures 2.5 millimetres across, wider than the original Semi-Flat, which lets it keep moving — and attacking — through a whole match, though it tends to settle into an endurance-style spin by the fight's end. It sits taller than most Gyrostats, which favours downward-angled attacks, and certain production runs have a loose fit that lets the tip spin independently of the base.

In Play

Community assessment ranks Metal Semi-Flat Core behind the Metal Change Core from Death Gargoyle MS for both raw attack and endurance, since Metal Change locks into an aggressive line once it reaches the stadium centre while Metal Semi-Flat keeps producing an irregular, aggressive motion afterward and wastes less energy against the stadium rim. Combinations use it in compact attack builds with Metal Ape and a Circle Heavy disc for sustained aggression, and in endurance-and-oscillation builds with the Advance Balancer ring and Circle Balance disc, choosing ring position to match the height of the opposing top; a loose-tip production defect is considered to add endurance and oscillation time rather than hurt it.
