About This Part
Metal Flat Core is a Gyrostat sold as part of the Advance Striker build, an upgrade on the earlier Flat Core fitted to Gaia Dragoon MS. Its metal tip reaches speeds that match the Metal Change core from Death Gargoyle MS and trail only the Grip Flat and Grip Flat (Ultimate Version) used on the Dragoon MS line, while the metal contact point resists the wear that plastic or rubber tips take on over repeated matches. Smaller than every Gyrostat besides those two Grip Flat versions, it suits tight, upward-leaning attack builds when launched with a controlled slide; without that technique its movement turns erratic, and it is hard to manage in a stadium without a raised rim.
In Play
Community combinations favour Metal Flat Core for upward-attack builds, pairing it with a Circle Upper or Samurai Upper tip and a Circle Heavy or CWD Defense Ring disc, and for lateral-attack builds, where its metal tip is credited with beating the endurance of the Dragoon MS and Dragoon MS Ultimate Version cores when paired with Metal Spring, Metal Ape or Jiraiya Blade over a Circle Heavy disc — offering an answer to the over-used Grip Flat (Ultimate Version) setups seen in tournaments.
