About This Part
Starscream is a Blade Hasbro released for the Basic Line system, debuting in western countries in the Optimus Primal and Starscream Multipack Set before Takara Tomy issued the same set in Japan on May 17th, 2025. It is a Stamina Type Blade with two blades forming its main contact points, built from plastic pieces identical to Wizard Arrow (WizardArrow) with a nearly matching metal component. Its Gear Chip depicts Starscream, a Decepticon Seeker from the Transformers franchise, cropped from an evergreen character art asset published in a 2017 character toolkit, with his "null ray" weapons textured onto the blades and his head worked into one end. At an average weight of 29.5 grams it is noticeably lighter even than the already-light Wizard Arrow, making it the lightest Basic Line Blade outside the X-Over Project toyline, and an asymmetrical redesign leaves its weight poorly balanced.
In Play
The community regards it as a strictly weaker version of Wizard Arrow, with poor stamina and low knockout resistance leaving it of little use beyond being a collection piece, and it is not recommended for the WBO's X format.
