About This Part
Keel Shark, known in Japan as SharkEdge, is a Blade Takara Tomy issued for the Basic Line system, reaching Japan on September 9th, 2023 inside the BX-14 Random Booster Vol. 1 before Hasbro brought it west as Keel Shark inside the Keel Shark 3-60LF Booster Pack. It carries two large, sharply angled blades as its main striking surfaces, sloped to add upward force on impact, and a Gear Chip stamped with a shark's head. Its bulk gives it strong knockout and burst potential but leaves it short on stamina next to peers like DranSword and PhoenixWing.
In Play
Community players treat it as a core Attack Type choice and a mainstay in the WBO's X format, though its weak stamina means pairing it with Bits such as Point or Rush is common practice.
- Debuted in Japan on September 9th, 2023 in the BX-14 Random Booster Vol. 1.
- Reissued across later Takara Tomy Random Boosters and Deck Sets through BX-48.
- Brought to western markets by Hasbro as Keel Shark, first in the Keel Shark 3-60LF Booster Pack.
