About This Part
Lightning L-Drago (Upper Type) is a left-spin Attack Type Blade Takara Tomy released for the Basic Line system as part of the X-Over Project, adapting the Upper Mode of the L-Drago I Face, L-Drago I Clear Wheel, and Lightning Metal Wheel from the Metal Series' Hybrid Wheel System Beyblade, Lightning L-Drago 100HF; it debuted in Japan on September 14th, 2024 through a dedicated Random Booster. Because the newer Blade system cannot reproduce the original's swappable mode-change parts, the source's two attack modes were divided between this Blade and a separate "Rapid-Hit Type" Blade. Its three upward-sloping blades reproduce the original Upper Mode and are built for Smash Attack, though uneven hollowing across the three contact points makes its motion erratic and drains Stamina through shaking. It runs slightly heavier on average than the Rapid-Hit Type, which the community credits for making it the more attack-favourable of the pair.
In Play
Tournaments run by Beyblade Battle Base (B4) and by the World Beyblade Organization (WBO) treat the Upper and Rapid-Hit variants as one Blade for deck-building purposes, so only one of the pair may appear in a 3on3 deck and the two cannot be swapped between Battles.
