About This Part
Hover Wyvern, called WyvernHover in Japan, is an oval Defense Type Blade that Hasbro debuted in the west through the Drop Attack Battle Set, with Takara Tomy later issuing it in Japan as a DMM Lottery grand-prize item via the UX-00 Booster. Its Gear Chip depicts a mythical wyvern, and as a Unique Line part it uses resin Launcher Hooks in place of metal ones to push weight outward. The line's stated gimmick is "top-down control," meant to deflect strikes from above and below.
In Play
Even though both makers file it as Defense Type, its aggressive oval shape gives it enough Smash Attack that the community considers it a strong pick for Attack-oriented builds.
- Released by Hasbro in the west as Hover Wyvern in the Drop Attack Battle Set.
- Released by Takara Tomy in Japan as WyvernHover, offered only as the DMM Lottery grand prize.
