About This Part

HellsScythe is a round, four-bladed Balance Type Blade that Takara Tomy launched in Japan on June 10th, 2023 via the BX-02 Starter, with Hasbro following in the west as Scythe Incendio. Its Gear Chip repeats the flaming-skull Grim Reaper design used across the HellsX line, and its round shape gives it excellent raw Stamina alongside a heavy build for a non-Attack Blade. Gaps between its four blades cause notable recoil, cutting into its Knockout defence even as that same recoil can punt attacking opponents out of the ring. Builds made from June 2025 onward carry a reinforced mould with four square plastic tabs underneath that steady the Blade and add roughly a gram.

In Play

HellsScythe paired with the Ball (B) Bit was a dominant, low-skill-floor Stamina choice that topped tournaments early in the line's life, though the community now rates it as outclassed by heavier options like WizardRod and SilverWolf, and it is not considered viable for the WBO's X format.
