About This Part

HellsHammer is a right-spin Blade that Takara Tomy classes as Balance Type despite giving it an aggressive, Attack-style build, with three "Smash Blades" doing the work of contact points. Takara Tomy launched it in Japan on March 30th, 2024 through the UX-02 Starter, and Hasbro brought it west as Hammer Incendio. As a Unique Line piece it uses resin rather than metal Launcher Hooks, pushing weight outward, and its shape is built to generate heavy Smash Attack and a downward variant called Force Smash. It is meant to be paired with the Hexa Bit, which tips a HellsHammer build upright and then forward so it repeatedly slams down like its namesake. An early production run could be launched left-spin by mistake, which later moulds corrected by adding a touch of extra metal.

In Play

The three-bladed Smash design gives HellsHammer combinations unusually strong Smash and Force Smash output for a Blade Takara Tomy labelled Balance Type rather than Attack Type.

  • Released by Takara Tomy in Japan as the UX-02 Starter, HellsHammer 3-70H, on March 30th, 2024.
  • Released by Hasbro in the west as Hammer Incendio 3-70H.
  • Later production moulds add extra metal to stop accidental left-spin launches, adding about half a gram.
  • HellsHammer carries stats that read as Attack Type despite Takara Tomy filing it under Balance Type.
  • Hasbro's G1752 Starter Pack packaging mislabels HellsHammer as an Attack Type Blade.
