About This Part
DranBuster, sold in the west as Buster Dran, is a Unique Line Attack Type Blade from Takara Tomy that launched in Japan on March 30th, 2024 through the UX-01 Starter, reaching Hasbro's western lineup under its translated name. Its Gear Chip depicts Seiryu breathing fire, and its blocky frame substitutes resin Launcher Hooks for metal ones, improving its Outward Weight Distribution (OWD). Its defining feature is a broadsword-like tip protrusion on its underside that acts as the main striking surface, concentrating weight there and letting it deliver harder hits when combined with the imbalanced 1-60 Ratchet and the faster Xtreme Dash granted by the Accel Bit.
In Play
Because only one face of that sword-tip protrusion ever strikes an opponent, it wears down and chips with repeated use, so the community advises keeping multiple copies on hand for tournament play.
- Released in Japan on March 30th, 2024 as the UX-01 Starter.
- Released in western markets as Buster Dran through a Hasbro Starter Pack.
