About This Part

Unite, shortened to U, is a Balance Type Bit that Takara Tomy released under the Basic Line system, debuting in Japan on June 15th, 2024 with the BX-33 Booster, WeissTiger 3-60U, and later reaching western stores through Hasbro's Pearl Tiger and Gill Shark Dual Pack. It carries a ball-shaped tip with a flattened underside; Takara Tomy's marketing described a protruding centre point, but no release actually extends that point far enough to touch the stadium floor, so in practice Unite performs much like Taper, only with a rounder tip profile.

In Play

  • Debuted in Japan on June 15th, 2024 with the BX-33 Booster, WeissTiger 3-60U
  • Reached western markets through Hasbro's Pearl Tiger and Gill Shark Dual Pack
  • Even though Takara Tomy advertised Unite as having a functional centre protrusion, no version released so far has one long enough to reach the stadium floor.

The Competitive View

Unite gives versatile but inconsistent aggressive movement when knocked, and shifts to knockout-resistant braking behavior once worn, at the cost of stamina in both states.

Verdict as the draft gives it: Not top-tier but versatile enough to be a welcome addition; used in the defense combo Wyvron/Neptrius/Doomscizor D2 Heavy/Gravity Unite and the balance combo Valtryek Heavy/Gravity Unite.

  • Debuted B-35 Storm Spriggan Knuckle Unite, April 2, 2016, translucent dark red with white rubber
  • Also released: Gunmetal Ver. (gunmetal), B-49 05 Victory Valkyrie Limited Unite (Random Booster Vol. 3), B-64 Victory Valkyrie Triple Unite (translucent orange, white rubber)
  • Hasbro: B9488 Spryzen S2 Knuckle Unite (opaque gold, black rubber)

Works with

  • Works in defense builds with Wyvron, Neptrius or Doomscizor D2, and in balance builds with Valtryek.

Related parts named in the draft: Coated Sharp (Metal Fight Beyblade), Wyvron, Neptrius, Doomscizor D2, Valtryek.
