About This Part

Metal Needle is a Defense Type Bit that Takara Tomy released for the Unique Line system, debuting in Japan on May 18th, 2024 with the UX-05 Random Booster ShinobiShadow Select and later reaching western stores through Hasbro's Starter Pack, Shadow Shinobi 1-80MN. Shortened to MN, it carries a metal conical point that barely grips the stadium floor, so a Metal Needle build tends to settle near the centre of the stadium with strong spin endurance; the cone shape also lets it deflect an opponent's hit rather than absorb it. Its tip closely matches the Metal Sharp Bottom from the Metal Series rather than the Wedge Driver of the preceding Burst generation.

In Play

Because a metal point launched from height can dent a stadium floor, the World Beyblade Organization has barred Metal Needle from sanctioned play by default, though individual tournament organizers may lift that ban for their own event under a Ranked Clause.

  • Debuted in Japan on May 18th, 2024 with the UX-05 Random Booster ShinobiShadow Select
  • Reached western markets through Hasbro's Starter Pack, Shadow Shinobi 1-80MN
  • Its tip shares the exact shape of the Metal Sharp Bottom from the Metal Series, and inherits that part's tendency to damage stadium floors.
  • The dark green version bundled in UX-10 Customize Set U was marketed by Takara Tomy as finishing the look of DracielShield 7-60D, whose blade lacked the metal point the original Draciel Shield carried.
