About This Part
Gear Point, abbreviated GP, is a Bit Takara Tomy released under the Basic Line system, first appearing in Japan on January 27th, 2024 with the BX-26 Booster, UnicornSting 5-60GP. Hasbro carried it west through the Sting Unicorn 5-60GP Booster Pack. It combines a flat tip carrying the teeth used for the Xtreme Dash gimmick with a small protruding ball at the centre, in effect blending the Gear Flat and Point Bits into one piece. Launched at an angle, that flat surface produces sharp, energetic movement that readily catches the Xtreme Line rail; launched level with the Stadium floor, the same piece settles near the centre for strong Stamina, though a hit that knocks it off balance sends it back into the aggressive, Stamina-draining tilt.
In Play
The community treats Gear Point as a faster, more aggressive alternative to the standard Point Bit when tilted, at the cost of burning through Stamina more quickly.
