About This Part
Free Flat, abbreviated FF, is a Bit Takara Tomy released under the Basic Line system, first appearing in Japan on May 16th, 2026 with the BX-49 Starter, DranStrike 4-50FF. Hasbro carried it west through the Strike Dran 4-50FF Infinity Starter Pack. Its flat tip has a round dip in the centre much like the original Flat, and that flatness produces the aggressive wobble needed to catch the Xtreme Line rail for an Xtreme Dash. A modified shaft lets Free Flat spin independently of the Ratchet, reducing Stamina lost while dashing.
In Play
Free Flat suits Attack builds that want repeated Xtreme Dashes without the usual Stamina penalty of the free-spinning design.
- Debuted in Japan on May 16th, 2026 with BX-49 DranStrike 4-50FF
- Released in western markets with Hasbro's Strike Dran 4-50FF Infinity Starter Pack
- Early product renders showed Free Flat with a shallow dip similar to the standard Flat's, but the piece that actually shipped has a deeper, wider dip.
