About This Part
Elevate, abbreviated E, is a Bit Takara Tomy released under the Basic Line system, first appearing in Japan on September 14th, 2024 with the BX-36 Random Booster WhaleWave Select. Hasbro brought it west inside the Tide Whale 5-80E Booster Pack. Its flat tip has a bump rising from the middle and sits inside a wide surrounding disc meant to lift the Bit slightly off the Stadium floor during an Xtreme Dash, cutting down on Stamina lost in the process; that lift also helps a combo land Smash Attacks off a dash. The disc's smooth rim gives it Life-After-Death potential too, letting a tilted or swaying combo keep rolling near the end of a match. Despite being sorted as a Balance Type, Elevate's shaft carries the weaker Burst Lock more typical of Stamina Type Bits, a deliberate trade-off against its otherwise strong performance.
In Play
Shortly after release, Elevate became a go-to pairing with the CobaltDragoon Blade, forming the CobaltDragoon 5-60E combo that emerged as a counterpick to the widely used WizardRod 3-60B in tournament play; unlike earlier Cobalt Dragoon combos, it could throw the WizardRod combo off balance with a clean launch, and Takara Tomy itself pointed to the pairing in CoroCoro Comic and in inserts packed with the WhaleWave Select booster. It saw play at the Asia Championship 2024 and in the qualifiers leading up to it.
- Debuted in Japan on September 14th, 2024 with BX-36 Random Booster WhaleWave Select
- Released in western markets with Hasbro's Tide Whale 5-80E Booster Pack
- Elevate went through three design stages: an original Attack-oriented shape with a ten-sided guard and no central bump, shown in the manga; a second version with a rounded bump shown in the anime and in early product renders; and the final wide cylindrical-bump version that shipped in the actual product.
