About This Part
War Lion is an Attack Ring for the Spin Gear System that debuted with Galeon Attacker, and remains one of the most valued parts from the earliest wave of Spin Gear releases despite its age. Its small, almost perfectly round shape gives it a high spin velocity well suited to Defense-type Beyblades, and its round profile leaves very few points where an opponent's hit can generate strong recoil. Its real strength, though, is its free-spinning Sub-Attack Ring: when a hit lands on that ring, only the freely spinning piece absorbs the impact while the rest of the Beyblade keeps spinning almost unaffected, though the whole assembly is prone to breaking.
In Play
The community continues to value it for Defense and Survival builds years after its release, crediting its round shape and free-spinning Sub-AR for absorbing hits with almost no lost momentum, despite its fragility.
