About This Part
Mountain Hammer is an Attack Ring from the Magnacore System that debuted with the release of Vortex Ape. Mostly round in shape, it carries two prominent ape-head projections that act as its focal design element and its main source of Smash, though in more passive setups those same heads generate heavy recoil, making the ring a poor fit for defence-minded builds, including most Compact combinations.
In Play
The community still finds a Smash Attack role for it in setups that lean on added weight for momentum rather than speed, and while that approach usually falls short of standard Smash Attack builds, it can hold its own in real matches provided the opponent shares the same spin direction; a build pairing Mountain Hammer with a Wide Defense disk, a Neo-Right or Neo-Left spin gear, a Voltaic Ape Defense Ring and a Customize Grip Base is considered surprisingly effective for its category.
