The Competitive View
The wider ball creates a semi-aggressive early movement pattern toward the Tornado Ridge, but the larger diameter means the tabs rarely strike the stadium floor, giving Massive weaker Knock-Out resistance and stamina than Defense despite avoiding Defense's scrape risk.
Verdict as the draft gives it: Outclassed by Defense in stamina and Knock-Out resistance; rated suitable for collection purposes only.
- Debut: B-14 Starter Wyvern Armed Massive, Sept. 19, 2015
- Ball tip at standard height; larger diameter than Defense; 3 tabs vs Defense's 4; no surrounding defensive ring
- Compared to Metal Fight Beyblade's Wide Ball tip
- Takara Tomy: B-14 Wyvern Armed Massive (translucent turquoise); B-22 Ragnaruk Central Massive (Beyblade Reshuffle Set Defense & Stamina, translucent black); B-24-03 Deathscyther Spread Massive (Random Booster Vol. 2, translucent neon green); CoroCoro Limited Driver (gold)
- Hasbro: Wyvron Armed Massive (opaque light blue); Wyvron W2 Vertical Massive (opaque orange); Wyvron W2 Vertical Massive (opaque yellow); Wyvron W2 & Odax O2 Dual Pack (opaque black)
Related parts named in the draft: Defense, Wide Ball (Metal Fight Beyblade).
