What It Is
The left-spin (Dragoon) release of the Deluxe ("DX") launcher line. These launchers contain a built-in mini-game mechanism: a large internal metal gyroscope that spins along with the normal launch gear, driven by the same winder pull and held in place by a rear stopper. The DX line ties with the Power Shooter for the best raw gear ratio of the generation, but because the gyro adds resistance and the launch gear only draws a shorter stretch of ripcord, pulling it takes noticeably more strength, and the added load is said to modestly increase ripcord breakage.
- Released by Takara in Japan
- A "Frost Silver Version" recolor was a Toys "R" Us exclusive
- Belongs to the original Bakuten Shoot Beyblade toyline
How It Launches
8-tooth gear; about 7.5-8 rotations with the Dragon Winder, 6.25-6.75 with the Spring Winder, 5.5 with the Regular Winder; left spin. Net power ends up comparable to the EZShooter Power Custom rather than exceeding it. Described as one of only two left-spin launchers with above-standard power, alongside the Dragoon version of the BeyUltimate Shooter.
Rotation counts are given with the winder they were measured with; a different winder gives a different figure.
What It Fits
Uses the Dragon Winder, Spring Winder, or Regular Winder (rotation count varies by winder used).
Spin and gear teeth are given only where they are stated outright; the table leaves a figure blank rather than infer one.
